As you are well aware, our world is at a critically dangerous juncture: the possibility of a military, potentially a nuclear, confrontation between NATO, led by the United States, and
Russia. The militaries of the two nuclear superpowers are once again facing each other, this time in Eastern Europe, especially in Ukraine, and in Syria. And tensions are increasing each passing day.
The Greek Committee for International Détente and Peace (E.E.D.Y.E) denounces and condemns the criminal bombing in Ankara, Turkey, on 12th October 2015 which resulted in the death of at least 128 demonstrators and the wounding of hundreds of others during a peaceful event.
This manifestation took place September 28, 2015 in Venceslav Square in the center of Prague and was co-organised by the Czech Peace Movement (together with some other peace and antiwar initiatives) as part of the campaign against NATO which still continues, e. g. collection of signateres under a petition demanding the disengagement of the country from NATO with the aim to present them at the end of October during a special event in the Parliament of the Czech Republic .
Blood policies must be abandoned
Around a hundred people lost their lives and many more were injured in a bomb attack that took place in Ankara, Turkey, before the demonstration that bore the slogan "Against War, Peace Now". This attack aims at terrorising not only the demonstrators but the whole society. The perpetrators try to make our people accustomed to terror and violence. Their aim is to make the people feel desperate and thus stay away from the streets.

Call for the IV. International Seminar for Peace and elimination of Foreign Military Bases that will be held in Cuba from 22-25 November 2015. This seminar aims to denounce the interference policy of the imperialist powers that attempt to spread military bases in all continents.
September 24, 2015 Peace Committee of Georgia with the NGO coalition "Eurasian Choice" held a rally in front of the residence of the President of Georgia in Tbilisi.
The main demands of the action were: the termination of cooperation with NATO and the restoration of diplomatic relations with Russia.
The demonstrators denounced the discovery of the so-called "NATO Training Center" in the near of the capital of Georgia. The Center was discovered in the former Russian military base.
Protesters also demanded the withdrawal of Georgian troops from Afghanistan.
The World Peace Council expresses its deepest sorrow for the deaths of over 20 civilians in Kunduz, Afghanistan, killed by a US criminal airstrike against a hospital run by Doctors Without Borders, last weekend.
