The “Moscow Appeal” was adopted by six international organisations, namely WPC, WFTU, WFDY, IADL, WDIF and FIR who attended the events of the 70th anniversary of the Anti-fascist Victory in Moscow.

We are consternated by watching yet another escalation in the imperialist aggression against the Middle East. Besides all the confabulations with autocracies such as the Saudi Arabia and Qatar, the USA have a “sacred” alliance with the Zionism institutionalized in Israel and, especially in the last years, with Turkey. The aim is to destabilize governments contrary to their agenda or to intensify the pillaging of countries such as Iraq, left vulnerable due to the devastating wars and looting promoted by the US’ imperialism with their European allies.
The delegation of peace movements of the WPC from Greece, Cyprus and Turkey arrived on Friday 8 August in Ramallah, Palestine after facing many difficulties and delays, closed checkpoints to the West Bank, military roadblocks and barricades set up by the Israeli army (with corresponding checks) but also with many changeovers of transport means, resulting in the trip from Amman, Jordan to Ramallah lasting 11 hours instead of two! All this is a manifestation of the special circumstances confronted by the Palestinians in a period when the Israeli war machine, as an occupation force, shells and slaughters civilians and children in the Gaza Strip, while at the same time having arrested 2000 Palestinians on the West Bank, making incursions into their homes day and night.
The Asia Pacific Regional Meeting of World Peace Council has been successfully accomplished in Kathmandu Nepal during 1-2 March 2014. Participated by 45 delegates from seven countries (India, China, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Greece and Nepal), the meeting concluded endorsing annual plan of action for 2014 with a number of solidarity events, campaign against neo liberalism and imperialists’ aggression, for sustainable development and democracy and to fight religious fundamentalism and terrorism in the region.
Upon the devastating Syrian Civil War, which now left behind nearly two and a half year, led to death toll of thousands of people, Peace Association and Lawyers for Justice in Turkey have prepared a comprehensive report to be used as a bill of indictment as well on the grounds of judging the figures and institutions that committed war crimes against Syrian people.

The fourth meeting of the anti-imperialist peace movements of Turkey, Cyprus and Greece took place in Chania on October 19th - 20th under the auspices of the World Peace Council. In a particularly friendly and constructive atmosphere, the delegations of the three countries agreed on the following joint communiqué:
The 2012 Assembly of the World Peace Council held from July 20-23 in Kathmandu and hosted by the Nepal Peace and Solidarity Council concluded with the adoption of the following documents.
The Secretariat of the World Peace Council was held successfully and was hosted by the Portuguese Council for Peace and Cooperation (CPPC) in Lisbon on May31st and June 1st 2013. After a very rich and fruitful discussion it released the following communiqué:
The conference entitled “Peoples Want Peace”, organized by the World Peace Council and the Peace Association of Turkey, concluded successfully with the participation of more than 20 national peace committees and international organizations, peace-loving journalists and artists in Istanbul and Antakya from 25th to 29th April 2013.
