On the afternoon of April 13, the first Peace Concert of 2025 took place at the Constantino Nery Municipal Theater of Matosinhos. Organized by the CPPC with the support of the City of Matosinhos, the Concert featured interventions from various areas, provided by people of different ages. The opening and presentation was by Iolanda Oliveira, who read an excerpt from a Palestinian author. The Barratuques group followed, with a percussion performance by the young people from the Barranha Elementary School, and then the CPPC's greeting to the Concert, given by Manuela Branco, from its National Board. She reaffirmed the importance of moments of struggle for peace, solidarity, and friendship between peoples. As always, "Peace yes, war no!" echoed through the room. Students from the Boa Nova State School presented a theater moment about the urgency of peace and its meaning. The concert continued with the performance of the Maduro Maio group, conducted by Guilhermino Monteiro, followed by the Orfeão de Matosinhos, conducted by maestro Igor Reina. The last two performances were by Sérgio Guri, who paid tribute to Fausto Bordalo Dias, and by the friends of the cavaquinho from Guifões. With the reading of the poem "The flood and the tree", the presenter thanked the municipality, the theater workers, the artists and all those who, once again, in Matosinhos, mobilized in defense of Peace!

Centenas de pessoas assitiram ao concerto pela paz em matosinhos

Na tarde do dia 13 de Abril, no Teatro Municipal de Matosinhos Constantino Nery, realizou-se o primeiro Concerto pela Paz de 2025.

Organizado pelo CPPC com o apoio da Câmara Municipal de Matosinhos, o Concerto contou com intervenções de diversas áreas, proporcionadas por pessoas de diferentes idades.

A abertura e apresentação coube a Iolanda Oliveira, que fez a leitura de um excerto de um autor palestiniano.

Seguiu-se o grupo Barratuques, com uma atuação de percussão pelos jovens da Escola Básica da Barranha e, após, a saudação do CPPC ao Concerto, feita por Manuela Branco, da sua Direção Nacional. Nela se reafirmou a importância dos momentos de luta pela paz, pela solidariedade, e amizade entre os povos. Como sempre, "Paz sim, guerra não!" ecoou pela sala.

Alunos da Escola Secundária da Boa Nova, apresentaram um momento de teatro sobre a urgência da paz e o seu significado.

Continuando o Concerto, atuou o grupo Maduro Maio, dirigido por Guilhermino Monteiro, seguido do Orfeão de Matosinhos, dirigido pelo maestro Igor Reina.

As duas últimas intervenções ficaram a cargo de Sérgio Guri, com uma homenagem a Fausto Bordalo Dias, e dos amigos do cavaquinho de Guifões.

Com a leitura do poema "O dilúvio e a árvore", a apresentadora agradeceu ao município, aos trabalhadores do teatro, aos artistas e a todos aqueles que, uma vez mais, em Matosinhos, se mobilizaram em defesa da Paz!
