On November 3, the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) adopted a resolution demanding the lifting of the blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States of America.
In this vote, 185 countries were in favour of the resolution demanding an end to this criminal and illegal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba since 1962. Significantly, only the United States of America and Israel voted
against it, and Ukraine and Brazil abstained.

Resolution 68/32 of the United Nations General Assembly “declares 26 September as the
International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons devoted to furthering this
objective, including through enhancing public awareness and education about the threat
posed to humanity by nuclear weapons and the necessity for their total elimination, in
order to mobilise international efforts towards achieving the common goal of a nuclear-
weapon-free world”.
