The World Peace Council expresses its indignation and vehement condemnation about the
recent attack on the hospital in the Palestinian Gaza Strip where many hundreds of civilians died
and many more are injured. This Israeli attack constitutes an unprecedented atrocity of the
occupation regime of Israel against the Palestinian people who are helplessly seeking shelter and
treatment at the hospital. This aggression proves how ambiguous and hypocritical the claim of the
Israeli government is about their right to “self defense”.
The Israeli offensive is in line with the decades’ long occupation of the Palestinian lands and
the denial of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people to have their own state.
The governments of the USA, EU and their allies are accomplices in this crime against
humanity, since they fully endorse the practices of the Occupation regime, while they deny de
facto the internationally legitimate right to resist to the Palestinian people.
The WPC calls upon the end of the hostilities and the death of thousands of innocent
civilians on both sides. Israel as heavily armed and militarized state has to stop the aggression.
The WPC reiterates and underlines its demand for the end of the occupation of all
Palestinian lands by Israel, the establishment of an independent State of Palestine within the
borders of pre-4th June 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital. We demand the release of all
Palestinian political prisoners from Israeli jails and the right to return of all the Palestinian
refugees according to the UN resolution 194. Occupation and Injustice will not last forever!
