The Greek Committee for International Détente and Peace (EEDYE) denounces and condemns the new scandalous resolution of the European Parliament against Cuba, which demands that additional sanctions be applied against the heroic Cuban people.
This is a very dangerous decision that adds to the long chain of criminal blockade and sanctions that the US and its allies, with the support of the EU, have imposed on Cuba for decades. These additional sanctions, which the EU is demanding be implemented, further undermine the rights of the Cuban people, denying access to basic goods and services.
The non-existent and slanderous argument of "human rights violations in Cuba" is refuted by the very criminal policy of the EU, which advocates the murderous blockade of the USA.
The fighters of the anti-war - anti-imperialist peace movement express our undivided international solidarity and support to the heroic people of Cuba. We strengthen even more our fight for the immediate end of the blockade and all sanctions and measures against Cuba. For the recognition of the right of the Cuban people to determine their future without external interventions.
