EEDYE Condemns Bomb Attack in Turkey

Monday, October 12, 2015

The Greek Committee for International Détente and Peace (E.E.D.Y.E) denounces and condemns the criminal bombing in Ankara, Turkey, on 12th October 2015 which resulted in the death of at least 128 demonstrators and the wounding of hundreds of others during a peaceful event.

The Greek anti-imperialist peace movement (E.E.D.Y.E) expresses its sincere condolences, solidarity and sympathy to the popular peace movement in Turkey, the families of the victims and to all the Turkish people. This murderous attack during a peaceful event -a peace march- against the military operations of the Turkish army in Kurdish populated areas in the area is an emergency alarm for all the peoples of the region threatened by various imperialist interventions and rivalries for its control.

These dangerous developments require the vigilance and readiness of the anti-imperialist movement, the further development of our common action to confront the whole range of plans of the imperialists and the ruling classes in the region.
