On August 7th, between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM, in Rossio Square, Lisbon, thousands heard the names of the Palestinian children murdered by Israel.

In an act of solidarity promoted by CPPC, CGTP, MPPM, and Projecto Ruido, which brought many together throughout the day, dozens of people, including actors, musicians, activists from the solidarity movement, and anyone else who wanted to, gave their voices for a few minutes to pronounce the names of the more than 18,000 children who have been murdered by Israel since October 2023 in the Gaza Strip.

In fact, 10:00 AM was only enough to read out about 9,000 names. It would take another 10 hours to say the names of all these children, who are part of a list that continues to grow.
The objective of this action, in addition to honoring these children, was also to denounce Israel's crimes and the ongoing genocide.

On August 11th, it was Coimbra's turn to gather around one hundred people to honor the children murdered by Israel in Palestine, whose names were recited aloud by the hundreds. Amidst the recitation of a poem by Miguel Tiago and slogans of solidarity with Palestine, the demand for an end to the genocide was reaffirmed!
We will not remain silent until Palestine is free, until there is justice and peace!

Homenagem à crianças palestinianas assassinadas por Israel

No dia 7 de Agosto, entre as 10h e as 20h, no Rossio, em Lisboa, milhares ouviram os nomes das crianças palestinianas assassinadas por Israel.

Num acto de solidariedade promovido por CPPC, CGTP, MPPM e Projecto Ruido, que uniu muitos ao longo do dia, dezenas de pessoas, entre actores, músicos, ativistas do movimento de solidariedade, e todos os que quiseram, deram a sua voz por uns minutos para pronunciar os nomes das mais de 18 mil crianças que foram assassinadas por Israel desde outubro de 2023 na Faixa de Gaza.

Na verdade, as 10h foram apenas suficientes para a leitura de cerca de 9 mil nomes. Seriam necessárias outras 10h para dizer o nome de todas estas crianças, que fazem parte de uma lista que só continua a aumentar.
O objetivo desta ação, para além de homenagear estas crianças, foi também denunciar os crimes de Israel e o genocídio que continua em curso.

No dia 11 de agosto, foi a vez de, em Coimbra, se juntarem cerca de cem pessoas para homenagear as crianças assassinadas por Israel na Palestina cujos nomes às centenas foram recitados em voz alta.
Entre o recitar de um poema de Miguel Tiago e palavras de ordem de solidariedade com a Palestina, foi reafirmada a exigência do fim do genocídio!

Não nos calaremos até que a Palestina seja Livre, até que exista justiça e Paz!
