On February 18th, a solidarity action was held that brought together hundreds of people in Largo Camões, in Lisbon.

An end to Israel's crimes, a permanent ceasefire, peace in the Middle East and freedom for Palestine were demanded – which implies the end of the Israeli occupation and respect for the inalienable and legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people, first with the creation of a sovereign, independent and viable Palestinian State within the pre-June 1967 borders and with its capital in East Jerusalem, in accordance with UN resolutions.

Also in Porto, on February 18th, a month after the great national demonstration in Lisbon and the peace train, another important solidarity rally took place in Palestine Square, where the demand for aggression and occupation of Palestine by Israel with US support was reaffirmed, Trump's statements about the occupation of Gaza and the expulsion of Palestinians were denounced and humanitarian support, a permanent ceasefire, respect for the sovereign rights of the Palestinian people and recognition of the State of Palestine by the Portuguese government were demanded.

The session, which was presented by Joana Machado, featured music by Casimiro Couto, readings of poems by Pedro Baranita and interventions by Filipe Pereira, coordinator of USP/CGTP-IN, Álvaro Pinto from MPPM and Ilda Figueiredo from CPPC.

Realizou-se no dia 18 fevereiro uma ação de solidariedade que juntou centenas de pessoas no Largo Camões, em Lisboa.

Exigiu-se o fim aos crimes de Israel, um cessar-fogo permanente, a paz no Médio Oriente e liberdade para a Palestina – que implica o fim da ocupação israelita e o respeito pelos inalienáveis e legítimos direitos nacionais do povo palestiniano, desde logo com a criação de um Estado palestiniano soberano, independente e viável nas fronteiras anteriores a junho de 1967 e com capital em Jerusalém Oriental, conforme as resoluções da ONU.

Também no Porto, no passado dia 18 de fevereiro, um mês depois da grande manifestação nacional de Lisboa e do comboio da paz, decorreu mais uma importante concentração de solidariedade na Praceta da Palestina, onde se reafirmou a exigência da agressão e da ocupação da Palestina por Israel com apoio de EUA, se denunciou as declarações de Trump sobre a ocupação de Gaza e a expulsão dos palestinos e se exigiu o apoio humanitário, o cessar fogo permanente, o respeito pelo direito soberano do povo palestino e o reconhecimento do Estado da Palestina por parte do governo português.

Na sessão, que foi apresentada por Joana Machado, houve música de Casimiro Couto, leitura de poemas por Pedro Baranita e intervenções de Filipe Pereira , coordenador da USP/CGTP-IN, Álvaro Pinto do MPPM e Ilda Figueiredo do CPPC.
