The United States of America, with its allies, has been aggravating the threats, interference and aggression against countries and peoples.
Palestine, Venezuela, Cuba, Colombia, Mexico, Greenland, Lebanon, Iran, Western Sahara, are, among others, examples of this reality.
The dramatic situation faced by millions of people victims of war, the risk of a conflict of great and tragic proportions, prove the urgency of putting an end to the confrontation and the arms race and opening paths for dialogue, for the political solution of international conflicts, for Peace.

It is urgent to defend Peace! It is urgent to defend the sovereignty and rights of peoples! It is urgent to defend the principles of international law! Solidarity is urgent! – fundamental causes to safeguard the present and future of Humanity.

To all who want and defend Peace, we ask that you participate in the Demonstration, on March 14th, at 3 pm in Lisbon and Porto, to affirm:

• No more money for militarism and war – Yes to improving the living conditions of workers, women, young people, and all peoples; to increasing wages and pensions, to strengthening public health, education, and social security services; to the right to housing;
• No to arms escalation – Yes to general, simultaneous, and controlled disarmament, and the abolition of nuclear weapons;
• End the genocide of the Palestinian people and the aggression against Lebanon and Syria by Israel – For the realization of the national rights of the Palestinian people and Peace in the Middle East;
• End the escalation of aggression, sanctions, blockades, and other coercive measures against Venezuela, Cuba, and other countries – For the respect of the sovereignty and rights of the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean;
• End the wars in Ukraine, Sudan and other countries – For Peace in Europe and in the world;
• No to the use of force in international relations – Yes to compliance with international law; to diplomacy, to the political solution of conflicts, to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations and the Final Act of the Helsinki Conference;
• No to the alignment of the Portuguese Government with confrontation, militarism and war – Yes to compliance with the principles of the Constitution of the Portuguese Republic: the right to self-determination of peoples, non-interference in the internal affairs of other States, dissolution of political-military blocs, establishment of a collective security system;
• Promotion of solidarity, cooperation and friendship among peoples and defense of their right to Peace, an essential condition for guaranteeing the rights of workers and peoples, development, justice and social progress, for the security and well-being of Humanity.

PAZ, SOBERANIA E SOLIDARIEDADE! Fim às ameaças e às agressões dos EUA!
Os Estados Unidos da América, com os seus aliados, têm vindo a agravar as ameaças, a ingerência e a agressão contra países e povos. Palestina, Venezuela, Cuba, Colômbia, México, Gronelândia, Líbano, Irão, Saara Ocidental, são, entre outros, exemplos dessa realidade.

A situação dramática com que estão confrontadas milhões de pessoas vítimas da guerra, o risco de um conflito de grandes e trágicas proporções, comprovam a urgência de pôr fim à confrontação e à corrida armamentista e de abrir caminhos para o diálogo, para a solução política dos conflitos internacionais, para a Paz.

É urgente defender a Paz! É urgente defender a soberania e os direitos dos povos! É urgente defender os princípios do direito internacional! É urgente a solidariedade! – causas fundamentais para salvaguardar o presente e o futuro da Humanidade.

A todos e a todas que querem e defendem a Paz, apelamos a que participem na Manifestação, no dia 14 de Março, às 15h em Lisboa e no Porto, para afirmar:

• Não a mais dinheiro para o militarismo e a guerra – Sim à melhoria das condições de vida dos trabalhadores, das mulheres, dos jovens, dos povos; ao aumento dos salários e das pensões, ao reforço dos serviços públicos da saúde, da educação, da segurança social; ao direito à habitação;
• Não à escalada armamentista – Sim ao desarmamento geral, simultâneo e controlado, e à abolição das armas nucleares;
• Fim ao genocídio do povo palestiniano e à agressão ao Líbano e à Síria por Israel – Pela concretização dos direitos nacionais do povo palestiniano e a Paz no Médio Oriente;
• Fim à escalada de agressão, às sanções, aos bloqueios e a outras medidas coercivas contra a Venezuela, Cuba e outros países – Pelo respeito da soberania e os direitos dos povos da América Latina e Caraíbas;
• Fim às guerras que se travam na Ucrânia, no Sudão e noutros países – Pela Paz na Europa e no mundo;
• Não ao uso da força nas relações internacionais – Sim ao cumprimento do direito internacional; à diplomacia, à solução política dos conflitos, aos princípios da Carta das Nações Unidas e da Ata Final da Conferência de Helsínquia;
• Não ao alinhamento do Governo português com a confrontação, o militarismo e a guerra – Sim ao cumprimento dos princípios da Constituição da República Portuguesa: direito à autodeterminação dos povos, não ingerência nos assuntos internos dos outros Estados, dissolução dos blocos político-militares, estabelecimento de um sistema de segurança coletiva;
• Promoção da solidariedade, da cooperação e da amizade entre os povos e defesa do seu direito à Paz, condição essencial para a garantia dos direitos dos trabalhadores e dos povos, o desenvolvimento, a justiça e o progresso social, para a segurança e o bem-estar da Humanidade.

Queremos a Paz! Não aceitamos a inevitabilidade da guerra!
