On the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, the streets of Lisbon and Porto were filled with demands for an end to the genocide and Israeli occupation. Culminating the solidarity campaign with the Palestinian people that began in September, and whose appeal brought together 158 organizations and many men and women from all over the country from the most diverse areas, the demonstration made it clear, once again, that the Portuguese people are in solidarity with the Palestinian people. At the end of the demonstration, presented by Joana Machado in Porto and by Tânia Veríssimo in Lisbon, representatives from CGTP-IN, CPPC, MPPM and Projecto Ruído, organizations promoting the campaign "All for Palestine! End to genocide!" End the occupation!”, they took to the stage, where they denounced the continuation of the genocide by Israel, the crimes that it continues to commit against the Palestinian people but also against neighboring peoples in the Middle East, such as Syria, Lebanon, or Iran. It was clear the commitment to continue solidarity with the Palestinian people until the national rights of these people are fulfilled, particularly with respect for UN resolutions that point to the realization of the independent and sovereign State of Palestine, on the borders prior to June 1967 and capital in East Jerusalem and respect for the right of return of all Palestinian refugees.

Exigimos uma Palestina Livre e Independente

No Dia Internacional de Solidariedade com o Povo Palestiniano, as ruas de Lisboa e do Porto encheram-se com a exigência do fim do genocídio e da ocupação de Israel.
Culminando a campanha de solidariedade com o povo palestiniano que se iniciou em setembro, e cujo apelo agregou 158 organizações e muitos homens e mulheres de todo o país das mais diversas áreas, a manifestação deixou claro, uma vez mais, que o povo português está solidário com o povo palestinino.
No final da manifestação, apresentados por Joana Machado, no Porto e por Tânia Veríssimo, em Lisboa representantes da CGTP-IN, do CPPC, do MPPM e do Projecto Ruído, organizações promotoras da campanha «Todos pela Palestina! Fim ao genocidio! Fim à ocupação!», subiram ao palco, onde denunciaram o prosseguimento do genocidio por Israel, os crimes que este continua a cometer contra o povo palestiniano mas também contra povos vizinhos do Médio Oriente, como a Síria, o Líbano, ou o Irão.
Ficou claro o compromisso de prosseguir a solidariedade com o povo palestiniano ate que os direitos nacionais deste povo sejam cumpridos, nomeadamente com o respeito das resoluções da ONU que apontam a concretização do Estado da Palestina independente e soberano, nas fronteiras anteriores a Junho de 1967 e capital em Jerusalém Oriental e o respeito do direito de retorno de todos os refugiados palestinianos.
