Actions of solidarity with the Palestinian people took place from north to south of the country.

On July 1st, in Coimbra, a human chain and parade took place.

On July 4th, in Faro, more than two hundred people demonstrated their solidarity with the Palestinian people, demanding recognition of the rights of the Palestinian people, as well as recognition of the State of Palestine.

On the same day, in Viseu, on the occasion of a conference hosted by the Viseu City Council to discuss the establishment of a hub dedicated to the military industry in the municipality, a protest was organized to emphasize the urgent need to deepen dialogue and cooperation between peoples as a way to resolve conflicts and denounce the warmongering trend pursued by NATO, the US, and the EU. Those present also insisted on the need to increase investment in healthcare, education, culture, housing, and social security, and rejected the government's announced budget increase for military expenditures. Solidarity with the Palestinian people was ever-present, with demands for an end to the genocide and Portugal's recognition of the State of Palestine.

On July 5th, in Lisbon and Porto, thousands took to the streets against the genocide perpetrated by Israel in the Gaza Strip, for the recognition of the State of Palestine, and for peace in the Middle East and around the world, with the support of more than 40 organizations from across the country and from various sectors.

On the morning of July 11th, the day Portugal's recognition of the State of Palestine was discussed, dozens gathered in front of the National Assembly to demand this recognition from the Portuguese government! Once again, Portugal remains on the shameful list of countries that do not recognize the State of Palestine!

That night, a vigil took place in Aveiro, where, among the same demands, the repudiation of the Portuguese government's decision and the commitment to continue demanding that the government recognize the State of Palestine became evident.

Em Julho, reafirmar a exigência do fim do genocídio!

Por uma Palestina Livre

De Norte ao Sul do país realizaram-se ações de solidariedade com o povo palestiniano.

No dia 1 de Julho, em Coimbra, realizou-se um cordão humano com desfile.

No dia 4 de Julho, em Faro, mais de duas centenas de pessoas demonstraram a sua solidariedade com o povo palestiniano, exigindo o reconhecimento dos direitos do povo palestiniano, bem como o reconhecimento do Estado da Palestina.

No mesmo dia, em Viseu, por ocasião da realização de uma conferência acolhida pela Câmara Municipal de Viseu com o objectivo de discutir a instalação de um pólo dedicado à indústria militar no concelho, foi organizado um protesto para insistir na urgência em aprofundar o diálogo e a cooperação entre os povos como forma de resolver os conflitos e denunciaram a deriva belicista levada a cabo por NATO, EUA e UE.

Os presentes insistiram igualmente na necessidade de aumentar o investimento na Saúde, na Educação, na Cultura, na Habitação e na Segurança Social e rejeitaram o aumento do orçamento com despesas militares anunciado pelo governo. A solidariedade com o povo palestiniano esteve sempre presente, com a exigência do fim do genocídio e do reconhecimento, por Portugal, do Estado da Palestina.

No dia 5 de Julho, em Lisboa e no Porto, milhares sairam à rua contra o genocídio perpetrado por Israel na Faixa de Gaza, pelo reconhecimento do Estado da Palestina, pela paz no Médio Oriente e em todo o mundo, com o apoio de mais de 40 organizações de todo o país e de diversas áreas.

Na manhã do dia 11 de Julho, dia em que se discutiu o reconhecimento do Estado da Palestina por Portugal, dezenas marcaram presença em frente à Assembleia da República para exigir do governo português este reconhecimento! Uma vez mais, Portugal continua na lista da vergonha dos países que não reconhecem o Estado da Palestina!

Nessa noite, uma vígilia teve lugar em Aveiro, onde, entre as mesmas reivindicações, ficou evidente o repúdio pela decisão do governo português e o compromisso de continuar a exigir do governo o reconhecimento do Estado da Palestina.
