On June 13th, in Porto, amid slogans, cultural events, and interventions by various organizations, including the CPPC, demands were made for an end to the genocide, Israel's escalation of the war in the Middle East was condemned, and the urgency of a free Palestine and its recognition by the Portuguese government was reaffirmed.

In Lisbon, late in the afternoon of the 17th, thousands of people marched from Largo Camões to the National Assembly, demanding the government's immediate recognition of the State of Palestine, while the Government Program—which was silent on this issue—was being debated. "End the genocide! Israel is to blame for a massacred people! And Palestine will win!" were slogans heard along the route. Representatives of the promoting organizations spoke at the National Assembly: Isabel Camarinha, from the CPPC; Mariana Metelo, from Projeto Ruído; Carlos Almeida, from the MPPM; and Tiago Oliveira, from the CGTP-IN. André Levy read a message from Mahmoud Marcel, a Palestinian who spent 27 years in Israeli prisons. Presented by actress Isabel Medina, a motion was approved by attendees, who held up a card bearing the Palestinian flag.

Solidariedade com o povo palestiniano

No dia 13 de Junho, no Porto, entre palavras de ordem, momentos culturais e intervenções de diversas organizações, incluindo do CPPC, exigiu-se o fim do genocídio, condenou-se a escalada de guerra no Médio Oriente por parte de Israel e reafirmou-se a urgência de uma Palestina livre, e do seu reconhecimento pelo governo português

Em Lisboa, ao final da tarde de dia 17, milhares de pessoas manifestaram-se do Largo Camões até à Assembleia da República, a exigir do governo o reconhecimento imediato do Estado da Palestina, no momento em que era debatido o Programa do Governo - omisso quanto a esta questão.
Fim ao genocídio! Israel e culpado por um povo massacrado! E Palestina vencerá! foram palavras de ordem ouvidas ao longo do percurso.
Junto à Assembleia da República intervieram representantes das organizações promotoras: Isabel Camarinha, pelo CPPC; Mariana Metelo, pelo Projeto Ruído; Carlos Almeida, pelo MPPM; e Tiago Oliveira, pela CGTP-IN. André Levy leu a mensagem de Mahmoud Marcel, palestiniano que passou 27 anos nas prisões israelitas. Apresentada pela atriz Isabel Medina, uma moção foi aprovada pelos participantes, que empunharam um cartão com a bandeira palestiniana.
