On May 15th, at Casa do Alentejo in Lisbon, the Nakba was marked by resistance, solidarity, warmth, and friendship. In an initiative co-organized by the CPPC, CGTP-IN, MPPM, and Projeto Ruído, Palestinian culture was celebrated with music, dance, decorations, and cuisine. The Portuguese people's solidarity with the Palestinians, both here and in Palestine, who continue to suffer at the hands of the genocide perpetrated by Israel, was clearly evident. Introduced by Mariana Metelo of Projeto Ruído, who also spoke on behalf of the organizing organizations, Ahmad Dari and Udi Fagundes generously participated with lively musical moments. The Palestinian Ambassador, who joined the initiative, briefly greeted those present and the initiative, thanking them for their continued solidarity.
The initiative concluded with a performance of Handala Dabke, a fraternal moment of collective dance. Amid tea, traditional foods, music, dance, and slogans affirming that "Palestine Will Win," it was clear that solidarity with the Palestinian people will remain alive until this becomes a reality! For an end to Israel's massacres, for compliance with UN resolutions, for Peace!

In the same context, on May 21st, in Palestine Square in Porto, a new solidarity initiative was held. Hundreds expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian people, demanding an end to the massacres and deaths of thousands of innocent people, especially women and children, and the immediate entry of humanitarian aid.
They condemned Israel's attacks and the complicity of the US and EU in the ongoing genocide. The initiative featured paintings for peace, made by those present, with music by the Savana Blues Trio and poems by Mahmoud Darwich recited by Iolanda Oliveira.
The presentation was given by Joana Machado, representing Projeto Ruído - Youth Association. The following spoke on behalf of the CPPC: João Rouxinol, José António Gomes, representing the MPPM, and Filipe Pereira, representing the CGTP-IN.
The various speeches expressed the demand for an end to the Israeli occupation, an end to the genocide, and the recognition of the State of Palestine in accordance with UN resolutions.

Nos 77 anos da Nakba, a solidariedade com a Palestina intensifica-se

No dia 15 de Maio, na Casa do Alentejo, em Lisboa, a Nakba foi assinalada com resistência, solidariedade, calor e amizade.
Numa iniciativa co-organizada pelo CPPC, CGTP-IN, MPPM e Projecto Ruído, celebrou-se a cultura palestiniana, com música, dança, decoração e gastronomia, e ficou bem clara a solidariedade dos portugueses com os palestinianos, cá e na Palestina, que continuam a sofrer às mãos do genocídio perpetrado por Israel.
Apresentados por Mariana Metelo, do Projecto Ruído, que fez também a intervenção em nome das organizações promotoras, Ahmad Dari e Udi Fagundes participaram generosamente com interventivos e animados momentos musicais.
A Embaixadora da Palestina, que se juntou à iniciativa, fez uma breve saudação aos presentes e à iniciativa, agradecendo a solidariedade de sempre.
A iniciativa encerrou com a atuação do Handala Dabke, num momento fraterno de dança coletiva.
Entre chás, comida típica, música, danças e palavras de ordem que afirmam que a "Palestina Vencerá", ficou evidente que a solidariedade com o povo palestiniano se manterá viva até que isso seja uma realidade!
Pelo fim dos massacres de Israel, pelo cumprimento das resoluções da ONU, pela Paz!

No mesmo âmbito, no dia 21 de Maio, na Praceta da Palestina, no Porto, realizou-se nova iniciativa de solidariedade.
Centenas manifestaram a sua solidariedade com o povo palestiniano, exigindo o fim dos massacres e das mortes de milhares de inocentes, principalmente mulheres e crianças e a entrada imediata de ajuda humanitária. Repudiaram os ataques de Israel, e a cumplicidade dos EUA e da EU face ao genocídio em curso.
A iniciativa contou pinturas pela paz, feitas pelos presentes, com música dos Savana Blues Trio, com poemas de Mahmoud Darwich, recitados por Iolanda Oliveira. A apresentação foi da Joana Machado em representação do Projecto Ruído - Associação Juvenil e intervieram, pelo CPPC, João Rouxinol, José António Gomes, pelo MPPM, e Filipe Pereira pela CGTP-IN . Nas várias intervenções ficou expressa a exigência do fim da ocupação israelita, o fim do genocídio e o reconhecimento do Estado da Palestina conforme as resoluções da ONU.
