United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999) guaranteeing sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia and the wide autonomy of Kosovo and Metohija within Serbia, is the highest binding legal document that obliges all members to this World Organization, including the member states of the EU, NATO, the OSCE, the OIC, the AU, and the EAU. Resolution 1244 is the only reliable basis and the framework for any negotiations concerning status.

Rising tensions in the global relations and hot beds of old and new crisis call for unity and efforts of all peace forces for closing foreign military bases, particularly U.S. and NATO foreign military bases, around the globe. The peace forces are obligated to send clear message that U.S. and NATO foreign military bases represent the tools of hegemonism, aggression, occupation, and that as such must be closed.

The Belgrade Forum has accured 16 years of activities invested in promoting the idea of peace and cooperation, equality of individuals, nations and states. Over these years, the Forum has published almost 200 books, organized numerous international and national conferences, participated in various international gatherings, and took part in peace building activities across the world. We maintain contacts and cooperation with a significant number of similarly oriented organizations, in the country and abroad, both bilaterally and within the World Peace Council.

On the 14th December the annual Assembly of the "Belgrade Forum for the World of Equals" took place in Belgrade, Serbia .

The WPC participated with its Executive Secretary Iraklis Tsavdaridis in the Assembly. Important talks were held in the framework of the Assembly of the Belgrade Forum between the WPC and the BF about the holding of the International Conference(22-23 March 2014) on the occasion of the 15 years of the NATO Aggression against FR Yugoslavia, which constituted a turning point in the imperialism's aggresiveness.
