WPC condemns the Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian People

Tuesday, July 22, 2014

The ongoing slaughter of the Palestinian people by the Israeli army has no ending. More than 570 Palestinians were murdered, thousands are injured and many more displaced. Most of the victims are civilians, amongst them dozens of women and children. The Palestinian Gaza Strip has become a theater of unilateral war of the occupation forces of Israel, against a people which is being deprived of its independence, freedom and the right for a State.

The WPC condemns the atrocities of the Israeli government and its army against the Palestinian people and calls upon all peace loving forces in the world to protest and denounce this barbaric actions.

No other State dares to exercise this self-proclaimed "right" to attack unprotected civilians by air and ground forces, only Israel claims this cynical "privilege" for itself.

The hypocrisy shown by the USA who is fully supporting the Israeli regime in its actions as well as the complicity of the EU,which is equating the victims with the aggressor has reached new records. Even the UN Security Council which is expressing "deep concern" and calling for "ceasefire",is not taking any decision to pressurize the aggressor Israel, which is committing war crimes against a whole people.

The Israeli regime is committing genocide in form of collective punishment of the Palestinian people while the pretexts of its own defence is baseless, looking at the facts and its invasion to the Gaza strip.

The only way to reach peace and stability in the region is the establishment and recognition of an independent State of Palestine within the borders of 4th July 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

We express our full-hearted solidarity with the Palestinian people, in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and East Jerusalem along with our support to the peace loving forces inside Israel, which are struggling side by side with the Palestinian people for a just and viable solution, for the end of the occupation.
