The All India Peace and Solidarity Organisation (AIPSO) strongly condemns the air strike against Syria by joint forces of USA, UK and France on 14th April on the pretext of the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian Army in the East Ghouta, the east of the capital Damascus which was under terrorist control still some days before.

We believe that this act of USA, UK and France is an act of aggression violating the Charter of the United Nations and against the international laws with the aim of implementing their plan for a "New Middle East", to control the national resources and energy through “Regime Change”.

In our considered view such acts not only put in jeopardy the future of the entire Middle East; but also have serious consequences on international relations where the possibilities of armed conflicts among different powers may not be avoided.

The AIPSO while expressing its support and solidarity with the people of Syria, who have been confronted with the imperialist plans for last seven years, calls upon the people of India to expose and condemn the role of imperialist powers and rise up to express solidarity in defence of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria.
